A SAILOR WITHOUT LAND
ROME DAMEY PHOTOGRAPHED IN BARCELONA BY ANAILOGICO FOR SUMMER DIARY
THE PROSE OF A SAILOR WITHOUT LAND
Neruda wrote the book “Marinero en tierra” years ago, also Alberti did the same back in 1924. Once you’re a foreigner, there is something that you never forget: the solitude of being alone in a new place, in a new city, in a new sea. There’s something beautiful about it: the freedom, the new things you get to know. But that’s the toll of living abroad. This was an exploration, of someone who has been living away from home, what is home for him now? do you ever get used to never belonging anywhere? How is the city were he lives now?
At the end, if you have been there, you will understand this prose, of a sailor without land.
